Got them off, finally.

Used a 7mm screw driver hex type and heated the tip with a torch.

Yup sure did, they are the +17.5mm offset unit so there's no way, too small and deep for the smallest pliers. I did use washers in the past, but the nuts kept backing off so i ditched them. Hi i made the mistake of installing a set of these on a smt-10 with m4 nylocks and the hex of the nut is now sunk into the plastic wheel The 7mm side of a cross wrench, just wont grab at all. Thanks man. Im going all kyosho from now on, but phasing them out brings up lots of good memories mainly from the old tamiya's.

Already sold off lots of other tamiyia traxxas and axial units, also the big baja 5b's.... The one shown are just the ones I plan to keep.

Ya mrgrimm is correct any 17mm wheels fit, I perfer 17mm monster pirate wheels they are slightly bigger than clod wheels (clod tires are a direct fit on them, they also have a good offset to keep it wide, but they can be hard to find now a days.
