Re: Clod steering stops

In short, yes. It is a common mod to take the stops off the hubs to gain more steering. However, this is usually done on the front only, when the rear steering is locked out.

Post them up!! I much prefer the forum to Facebook. Facebook is fun, but its not good for actually following a build or searching for information.

Re: Which ESC or ESC combo package for my Clod

I had essentially asked this same question here: http://www.clodtalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=30861&hilit=best+bang#p295955 and got some great feedback. The Hobbywing will be a fine ESC to use. As mentioned by AndyMac, stock motors with lipo make a great combination. I am running 27 turn brushed mot...

Great video! Some of those climbs look near vertical. I need to get mine out and explore before the snow starts to fall.

Re: New [to me] SCX10

Very clever and now your description makes perfect sense. I didn't have any spare servo mounts, so I sat staring at mine for a while. Just before I broke down and started drilling, I thought I'd look through some boxes. I found, and ended up using, some of the removable mounting brackets for electri...

Nice work! And in such a short time span, too. So its actually a 6x6x6! I'm interested to see where you go with this!

Re: New [to me] SCX10

My primary concern was having to drill new holes. Since thats a negative, I will probably go ahead and do it (as soon as I have time). Thanks!

Re: New [to me] SCX10

Do you have any additional photos of how you mounted your battery tray? I've reviewed your thread several times, but I'm curious exactly how you attached the tray that way.

Re: New [to me] SCX10

I started a new job yesterday and its going to prevent me from having much spare time for a while. Kind of a bittersweet feeling. With that in mind, over the weekend I finished up the paint on my trail truck and just wanted to show off my shiny work before its gets used, which may end up being a whi...

I saw a photo of that somewhere, too. Not on eBay though?!? I had wondered why it had twin ESCs. That is really cool!

Re: New [to me] SCX10

So I made some progress on this rig. I have to admit, its a neat vehicle, but that driveshaft angle really makes me scratch my head. Seems like it could have been engineered a little better, but I guess it works. So I had swapped the steering bar to the underside of the knuckles for more clearance, ...
