Re: April 2018 pic contest!

Well, crap. My pick from last month is now up against my pick for this month. Can I cast 2 votes? This will be hard. (That's what she said.)

Matt1PTKN's "Rigs"

Here are my (hopefully) clod talk worthy RCs: First up is my Clodbuster. My 1st hobby RC. Got it when I was 8 in 1988. One of the best Christmas gifts I had received, or will ever receive. It remained stock for several years, and then as time went on, got modified and has been through many iteration...

Re: RC Swap Meet with Scaling Expo and Carpet Off Road

Our 2018, 5th annual RC Swap Meet is coming up again on March 31, 2018 at the Belmont Co. Fairgrounds in St. Clairsville, OH. There will be a swap meet, carpet off road racing, a scaling course/competition and a monster truck expo this year! If anyone is interested, I can send you the flyer or look ...

Re: April 2018 pic contest!

I'd like to nominate this beauty. This truck is almost exactly what I picture in my mind, when I think about what I'd like to build one day.

My nomination for the first ever pic contest. I always felt that this build deserved more recognition. =D>

Re: The home page pic contest

I have been a bit sad about the lack of entries in the BOTM contest, too. I'd love to enter more, but I really don't have many contest worthy vehicles, let alone trucks. I think your idea sounds great. I assume after X number of photos are submitted, there would be a poll created. Is that cor...

Re: Got another Clod

I need a higher paying job  Me, too, man. Me, too. I'm in the same boat. I want to purchase a new 2wd buggy, but I need some cash to spend. I know I'll regret selling any of my current fleet, so I'm stuck. Don't sell the Clod. Its a great looking truck! You'll figure out another way. And when ...

Re: Clod steering stops

In short, yes. It is a common mod to take the stops off the hubs to gain more steering. However, this is usually done on the front only, when the rear steering is locked out.

Post them up!! I much prefer the forum to Facebook. Facebook is fun, but its not good for actually following a build or searching for information.

Re: Which ESC or ESC combo package for my Clod

I had essentially asked this same question here: http://www.clodtalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=30861&hilit=best+bang#p295955 and got some great feedback. The Hobbywing will be a fine ESC to use. As mentioned by AndyMac, stock motors with lipo make a great combination. I am running 27 turn brushed mot...

Great video! Some of those climbs look near vertical. I need to get mine out and explore before the snow starts to fall.
