Re: My all new creation!! The '80s are BACK!!!

No pics yet LOL Haven't ordered the body yet...got a few more things to check before moving on!!!! I just had a flash last week-end....If it's WIDER than a CLOD, must be HIGHER TOO, wich would bring all proportions way out of scale compared to my frame and wheels....So i'll go back and check the spe...

Re: My all new creation!! The '80s are BACK!!!

Make sure you look at the measurements for that body. It is a pretty large in comparison to the stock Clod body. It is a well built kit though with a lot of scale details. I checked with my 1/8 scale Monogram '80 Trans Am, as it's the same width (9'') and it fits perfectly!! 1 inch above the tires ...

Re: My all new creation!! The '80s are BACK!!!

Just got a fantastic idea to turn the crappy generic Clod grille into something more appropriate for my truck!!! I'm gonna USE the 4X4X4 crest molded in the grille to turn it into a BOW TIE with sheet plastic and ...cover it with a decal i had in hand.....What do you think, guys?? http://i214.photob...

Re: Buy aluminum wheel hub adapters or wait for Pro-line whe

Great news!! I only hope they changed the offset of the wheel, so we'll FINALLY be able to throw the adaptors away!!! Always a real pain to find some The North American beaver has a big tail bolts to make them fit on my axles!!!....

Re: Tuff Truck

I really like the look without the wheel adaptors!!! It actually gives the exact look of USA-1 back in '88, as the wheels were positioned exactly the same way inside the fenders!!! https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/11750680_1013865231970919_7859662207936581957_n.jpg?oh=144e8...

Re: tire shaving

This type of sander is excellent too!!! I'm not a big fan of shaving but the previous owner of my tires had already started and since it was badly done, i had to finish the job to have them look good! LOL Also, mineral spirits helps too, as it ''melts'' rubber, in a certain way! http://www.rcmt.net/...
