Re: Using Hot Racing 12mm-17mm adapters, good mod or no?

I have a set of the HR adaptors. I don't notice any additional sloppiness but they do seem to loosen up (barrel nut backs off) but then I haven't used locktite on them either.

Re: Hex Drivers

I have the Integy set with the torque driver handle and it has been great. In 5 years I have broken only one tip and simply ordered a replacement off their site. Really an excellent set (surprising considering it's Integy).

Re: New to Clods

Great Hobbies (based in Mississauga I believe) has the Super Clod on their site but none in stock. I bet if you called them they could get you one. If you don't want to deal with importing stuff from the US it is a decent option.

Re: turning a Traxxas Slash into a on road racer

Nice build. I too recently took a 2wd slash and changed it to an LCG with a new Parma body. In my case I saw the Demon body the day after I bought the Olds body :? (more of a Mopar guy myself). I'm going for more of an onroad touring though than a drag although I like the idea of a drag slash...

It says there's 25 sets on there right now. So tempted to buy but I don't really need them right now. :?

Yeah the C-cells got old so I modded it for a NiCd shotgun pack we strapped in the bed

Re: Black Betty - a Drag Custom

That's right, the GRU. It looked to be the cheapest option for something like that. I figure 7:1 with a more 'standard' 5700-7700kv motor should be ok.

Re: Black Betty - a Drag Custom

Thanks all. Yes I made the chassis. I wanted it to look like a real Z'd chassis. I wanted to try to model it as much after a 1:1 build as I could. The servo inside the radiator is one of my favourite things. Originally I wanted a cowl steering setup but I could not find an extension for the servo to...

Black Betty - a Drag Custom

I posted a pic of this in another thread and thought I should put the rest up. I built this a couple of years ago. It sits pretty much the same today although I do have a driveshaft upgrade in mind. I wanted to build a scale onroad drag car. Reality is the monster motor up front is so heavy it has z...

Re: CowBoy's Restored ClodBody

I like a set of straight zoomies. I made a set for this custom I built and think they look good:

Re: CowBoy's Restored ClodBody

That could work nicely. Or maybe with some C-channel down the sides on top of the tub like the old double chassis trucks.

Re: CowBoy's Restored ClodBody

That Wraith interior looks pretty good in there! And FWIW I like the ebay bumper guard servo mounts. I have a set similar to that on one of mine that I made myself. At $29 a pop those initially set off my "I can make it for less" light but the set I made took a solid 4-5 hours and I hate working for...

Re: Alex's TX-C2 Ford f-100 build aka FORD OF THE DEAD ???

Actual Axial shocks? I'm with Andy on this one - I have never had a set of Axial shocks that I liked. These days I stick to Traxxas shocks even though they be fugly grey.

That body looks good on there BTW. I have two Midnite Pumpkins.
