Re: My recently acquired TXT-2

You could sell the body separately and make back the money you spent on buying the truck the original owner would have spent a fortune having the body custom painted and then shipped back to the UK! 8)

Re: Alex's TXT-2 ladder frame build TECH NOIR

Super nice build. I haven’t been on here much and saw this on FB. Wow, do I miss the good ole’ days of builds on the forums. x2 X3 but you know the good ole' days don't need to go just keep posting builds on here. I went to the dark side :cylon: to ask the members on FB if anyone knew a hydro dippe...

Re: Alex's TXT-2 ladder frame build TECH NOIR

Bugger on the body drop! One accidentally stood on one of my trucks moments after I finished it and broke the axle tubes. My luck lol. Bummer. A large foot descended onto the Blackfoot body as the owner of the blackfoot body could not be bothered to strip the primer off  owner of said large f...

Re: Alex's TXT-2 ladder frame build TECH NOIR

Primed the body with white primer did a nice job walking back into the house body rolled forward and fell four feet to the patio floor... heavily chipped and full of grit... decided to look for someone to spray the body pearl white for me I just don't have the patience. Moved battery tray 5mm furthe...

Re: More Torque

I assume you are using standard ESC that comes with the Clod kit? If so get yourself two Tamiya Torque Tuned motors they are relatively cheap as well. If you want to upgrade higher than torque tuned motors you will need a beefier ESC in my experience anyway. As for pinion not a clue never done it my...

Re: Alex's TXT-2 ladder frame build TECH NOIR

Blackfoot body looks good in there, and I think the chassis sticking out looks fine too, as you said same as old school. That Frankenstein MT almost makes me want to build an old school leaf sprung truck...... maybe do a build based on Tamiya Midnight Pumpkin hard body but with WK transmi...

Re: Alex's TXT-2 ladder frame build TECH NOIR

Thanks guys :) fitting large gearbox and battery tray into such a small space is not easy not to mention servo mount mounted on inside of axle with 250mm wheelbase!

Thanks for posting music video Andy but it does not show up for me just blank space anyone else?

Re: Alex's TXT-2 ladder frame build TECH NOIR

Pretty neat, don't think I've seen a SWB TXT done before. Interested to see the design you put on the body. As soon as I saw TECH NOIR, I was like, what's with the Terminator reference? Photo below is logo I will use on doors and tailgate maybe white wheels & white body have not decided yet... a mu...
