Re: titan issues

sorry I have been gone sooo long, however I was able to find the culprit. it was the locked rear diff. I guess with the larger pinions it just put too much strain on the rear motor. I put in a new set of open diff gears and 19 tooth pinions, and have run several packs of batteries with no :explosion:

Re: titan issues

Its not back to back like that, its was 2 hrs between battery charging, the short runs were on the same set of packs. I can get 20-25 min on a set of batteries even with 19t pinions

Re: titan issues

They are new packs and have only run a few cycles through them but so far the final voltage has been within 2/10ths of a volt of each other. The cells on each pack also stay within .05-.1 of each while charging.

Re: Scratch Build

Great minds must think alike cause im doing exactly that with 1/8 rod. I was wondering how the handling would be with that weight and if i could get a decent amount of speed out of it

Re: Scratch Build

I thought about using brake tubing but I thought it would have bent or collapsed to easily  . but 3' of the rod was only 2.50 a stick from my local napa, a bit cheaper than brake line also
