For pull starter issues, I have also gone through a couple of one-way bearings. I finally found out that super cleaning the bearing I was actually ruining it. My thought was "why would I put oil on it, it will slip" , not true. The one-way needs a small amount of oil to keep it from burning up when ...

Absolutely True!! We have a filter. Bill set it up and Halgar and I (and probably a few others) have continued to add it.
