Re: anybody using.......

Oh, the 5700s are a lot. I haven't been able to run a battery completely without breaking things yet. (Though to be fair, it's not always my/the trucks fault -- another truck hit me, twice.) I can just about pull a wheelie from a stand-still. If I did it again, I'd go for the 4600s, I think.

Re: anybody using.......

I'm using SV3s with 5700s. I'm using throttle mixing because, hey, I can, and I didn't need to try to find a Y to make it work. It works well.

Now if I could just stop breaking other things...

Re: Nitemare 2 Diablo Race Clod(Updated with Race Pics)

With two-wheel steering, I've been a little disappointed with how wide the turning radius is. I was thinking about going for 4WS, however with reduced throw -- setting up the radio (I use a Futaba 4PK) to to mix the front and rear but have the rear max out at, say 30% or so. That should help tighten...

Re: It begins (my build)

My 3-year-old son and I finished painting a Bronco body for the truck. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Re: Andy's Super Clod Buster, the next generation

That's a pretty slick fix to the wheel -- I never would have thought of using some grub screws in place of the broken nubs! I have a few I can repair like that...

Re: Building a Racing Clod - Yay or Nay

my Diablos handles better than the IS trucks I raced against. Seeing an electric-converted Revo 3.3 and a few tricked E-Maxx's, I have to agree -- these race Clods hold their own. IMO if you are not racing a Clod race chassis, then its pointless to have one. I disagree for one simple reason: solid ...

Re: Stock "freshened up" clod axles

Washers *are* supposed to be used on the axles, however they're very thin -- more like shims than washers. In fact, I have found I can't use a "normal" washer in place because it's too thick. A quick search led me to a PDF of the manual. On page 11 you can see that washers are used on the axles. htt...

Re: Servo not returning to center

I figured out it was the servo saver -- just too weak to move those behemoth wheels. I popped a Kimbrough large on the servo and it works great!

Re: New Wave 7200mah Lipos with Dual Plugs

Has anybody tried these? I thought about picking one up this weekend (even though I don't yet need the dual output, I do need a hard-case LiPo).

Re: Servo not returning to center

Sort of a related question: how much torque in these servos? Apadua's is 200+ oz/in. Do others find that enough to move the wheels? I've got a 200 oz/in servo in mine with BTA steering, and it won't move the wheels when at a stand still... I'm wondering if I've got a dying servo in there (it's an ol...

Re: It begins (my build)

So, anyway, on Friday night I brought the truck along when racing to play with. I showed up with a crack in the gearbox, where the screw for the axle support/servo mount goes into the gearbox. A quick run broke that easily, and steering was completely ineffective then because the servo mount was jus...

Re: My First Clod (Actually, Bullhead)...

The red would look good but the chassis is red too so you might have some clashing going on. The bullhead kit does have a lot of color mixing going on so chose wisely. [Puts on the artist hat.] With the stock red chassis and the yellow-orange shocks and ball cups you're already into sticky g...
