wheelbase question was for percymon
Off the top of my head I don't know, but its definitely shorter than my other Clod with the Gmade Spider chassis (ca 16.5" from recollection)

Re: New to the world of Clods, looking to build a modclod as my first project, what chassis should I go for? (I'm UK bas

The KK2 plus shipping is looking like £250 in total, so saying its caught for fee's, would be £50 VAT + £6.25 for customs duty, this is using this https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/tax-and-duty as a base assuming im reading it right? Granted its a bit steep for just getting it into the coun...

Re: New to the world of Clods, looking to build a modclod as my first project, what chassis should I go for? (I'm UK bas

Import fees into UK apply on items over (may have changed, but from recollection) £15. That's the declared value of the item AND the shipping fees. So if the items are $100 and $32 shipping then you're looking at ca £100 as the basis of fees In this case the value is below £135, so you don;t have to...

I utilised the carbon centre chassis, and sourced the Vaterra lower links (from the Twin Hammers) locally in UK. I did get caught for import duties, but i also bought an alloy chassis at the same time and sold that on eBay to recover a few quid. https://s26.postimg.org/n3q9o7hl5/photo11_zps2e0f1770....

Re: My collection so far...

Not a huge amount to report in all honesty . Two SRB projects still on the work bench :- > the bluey silver Rough Rider awaiting roof, spot lights and a few final details > the pearl white and Nautilus Blue Scorcher shell has been flatted and polished, the side window trim painted matt black, and I'...

Re: My collection so far...

No problem - always happy to help ;) Pleased to report the repro tyres are now on the Hilux, but i'm now thinking with their smaller size (87mm OD) that i should really go back to the original leaf springs - as hard as they are, the current custom springs raise the ride height about 12mm and its now...

My buddy is rebuilding a Bruiser that he got from me and was looking for tires. 8) These are the Hilux ones.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tires-set-for-Tamiya-Toyota-Hilux-4X4-first-generation-58028-RA1028/282480469993?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p20578...

Re: My collection so far...

One less in the collection, sold my NIB Egress 2013 re-release last night. I might regret it down the line, but I still have my original (100% from original kit, not one replacement screw even) and the Egress i built from parts in 2012 (I like to think i showed Tamiya they could do it again lol!!) a...

Re: SFC K's CC-01 Ford Ranger

Very nice Jeff - with a few mods the CC-01 can be a very capable crawler / trail runner as you've discovered.

The front brace and body mount are perfect !

Re: My collection so far...

Well a little update.. Durango DEX210 sold to a TamiyaClub member who wants to use 60% of it to build a front wheel drive racing buggy (mirroring a long running project posted on Oople.com form) - I'd considered it myself, but i'd had the DEX for over 3 years sat on display and wasn't likely to sink...

Re: My collection so far...

Thanks. M-05 build finished and now residing with a very happy 12 yr old recipient. I was as pleased to have it finished in time, as the new owner was receiving it. A few finished pics, went old school with the radio gear as it was just easier to pull some out of another model to use in this, knowin...

Re: My collection so far...

Well its one step forward and three back with one of the SRB projects (the last Rough rider) - thought i was doing a nice white, gold and silver paint scheme with black pinstriping until the Tamiya masking tape reacted with the colour coats - tried all sorts of potions to remove the tape glue residu...
