Re: Looking for a basher chassis for an old Clod. Boss Kong?

Not familiar with that chassis, but have built many bashers over the years. Bashing is a broad term though. You really need to lay out your driving style and how fast (in mph) you plan to make your top speed. Things you run into or jumps you go off of at 15 mph ... vs ... 25 mph ... vs .. 35+ mph ar...

Re: Waterproofing standard Clod

Most people that do that just make use of waterproof electronics. If you submerge things, be prepared to do a teardown somewhere along the way to clean things up (inside).

If wanting to motor-boat with it, seal up the tires.

I really like those upper link mounts, very clever.

Normally I would agree, but he's got mudslingers which are really heavy, and he's pushing snow.

Re: More Torque

That is correct. You could go to 35t or 45t motors and also 3S lipo batteries. Another option if you don't still have ladder bar suspension would be the titan monster 550 set-up out of the brushed full-sized e-revo, which uses the EVX-2 esc and a pair of 2S lipos (for a total of 4S, and that combo m...

Re: Beefier Springs for Super Clod

Sorry, I don't. I usually use various e-maxx e-revo push rods and tow links and different ends to make suspension links. I've thought about using plastic tubing, but have yet to try it.

Re: Beefier Springs for Super Clod

Use the upper "C"... but I don't like that style. (the classic old-school 4-link)

Pretty neat, don't think I've seen a SWB TXT done before. Interested to see the design you put on the body. As soon as I saw TECH NOIR, I was like, what's with the Terminator reference?

Re: Soze finally builds his SCX10 II after 2 years.

That came out pretty nice! I would not worry about not glueing those stock tires tho... they are nothing to write home about. I'd be surprised if you like how they performed, as they are a medium compound, as opposed to the nice R-35 compound that's on the soft (better) tires axial uses.

Re: Beefier Springs for Super Clod

Traxxas springs fit, and I do believe LOSI springs also fit. I'm pretty sure some of the LOSI springs are available in higher spring rates.

Failing any of that, I do believe CPE makes a kit to let you run a quad-shock set up.
