Re: Hot Racing shocks on stock chassis and stock wheelbase?

I understand the Hot Racing shocks can be ran with or without oil

and because the springs are internal you could run four with and four without if its still too stiff :)

I do like the look of these shocks and would like to see more fitted on clods to see what they look like

Re: Coops309 On Going Project

Now Charlie that would mean building a custom pick up, with a winch or tail lift running clod axles ?..! It would be nice to see, but in this economy don't think it's gonna happen..!

Re: Coops309 On Going Project

Dont let friends drive your Clods.... It's kinda hard not too... No where near me has or caters for monster trucks, so it's a case of going down the local parks or round friends houses..! My local Rc club has three different tracks which would be cool to run a clod around, but its £50 to join...

Re: Coops309 On Going Project

Took the truck out for a spin last night and lost on of my king pins :( thought it wasn't going straight or turning properly, so brought it back and my hub was hanging off..! Do you guys recommend or use thread lock on your king pins? I'm starting to get a few problems relating to my hubs, maybe I s...

Re: Coops309 On Going Project

That's what I ended up doing, laying it on the chopping board and hammering it straight! But it doesn't look as pretty as the other three now :(

Re: carbon fiber

Before i bought my Carbon Terminator i thought about making my own, a quick search on Google or Ebay brought up plenty of suppliers.

Also if you want it to look nice and shiny on both sides you need robotics grade which is a bit more money :)

Re: R/C of the month/bi-month/quarterly/yearly suggestion

Quarterly gets my vote, Clod based trucks that's why I'm here :)

Also each quarter could be a different category like Q1-Showtruck/Shelf Queen Q2 Runner/Basher Q3 Race truck Q4 One Off Custom.

That's one of the things I'm not happy with! It said on the tin gun smoke grey, more like charcoal to me..!

Re: Coops309 On Going Project

Had a couple of accidents today :( First one, gave my friend a go with the truck and he hit forward instead of reverse and hit a kerb which bent my lower link and broke my steering arm! Ouch..! The second, carried on driving and the rear hub carrier thing fell to bits. This was one of the old origin...

Not bad for a first time, there's a few things that I'm not happy with :( but I'll just have to live with them
