Re: PRP Berzerker Build... Dark Knight

Beautiful! Makes me regret selling this chassis to you, but hey, you gave it a great home and it looks like it fits perfect into your collection of other nice RC models. I'm glad to see it together, finally, even if I didn't build it. Very nice. Sinister looking, really.

Re: The Nautilus

That was found at a dump? Unbelievable! The crazy thing is I was just looking at a website dedicated to an RC Nautilus build. The guy's sub ended up measuring something like 66" long. This thing looks really similar to the one he made, but if I remember right, he actually was contacted by a company ...

Re: Daddy Clod 8X8X8 Build

Wow. That chassis is solid! 8x8 Clod? That's crazy, but it looks good so far. This will almost call for a Bullhead body, eh?

Re: bull head zilla 2 scratch build.(lots of pics)

Cool project! I've still got an original Bullhead body and all the chrome bits, just sitting in the closet, waiting on me to pull it out and build some sort of chassis for it. I enjoyed watching you build your Clodzilla inspired chassis. Reminds us all how cool these trucks are and just how simple t...

Re: Super Class Clod crawler

Thanks for the nice comment! I really didn't keep track of the expenses. Why would I want to know? But, just guessing a rough estimate, I'd say it's a touch under $2K. There really is no such thing as a $300 RC!

Halgar, thanks. What do you have to trade? Your soul?

Longboard, thanks. I had to 4 link it. It's the only way I know.

Re: Super Class Clod crawler

Thanks guys. Halgar, not a bad idea on the wire wrap. I might consider trying it. Charlie, I had some other guys ask me about the servo mounts too. One guy asked if I had a CAD file for it, but I don't. I machined them myself, just drawing my plan on paper with a pencil. There are similar mounts out...

The only issue I can find is that it's not legal to compete in the 2.2 class due to the 4 wheel steering.
Thanks. Yes, 4WS is not legal, but I built it for my own crawling fun. There aren't many comps around here. If I needed to, I could always lock-out the rear steering.

Another one of my projects - 2 point 2 Warthog

I started this crawler after Christmas of 08. It's nearly finished now,as the only thing left is to get some paint on the skins, and the skins on the chassis. It runs and crawls right now, but let's take a step back in time and start from the very beginning. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y127/Esp...

Re: Super Class Clod crawler

Thanks Halgar and Joel. To be honest, there isn't much more I can do to clean up the wires on the axles. I need the slack so that the knuckles can turn freely. At first I actually had some problems with the Deans unplugging at full lock. The servo didn't care. It's got so much torque, it would just ...

Re: Super Class Clod crawler

Hi guys. My email has been getting bombarded with topic notices. I thought I would update this thread for anyone interested. The Hustler is finished for the most part. Just one little thing to do, and that is to paint the beadlock rings on the wheels to better match the truck's color scheme. A lot h...

Super Class Clod crawler

Hi guys, long time no see. I haven't stopped in to post something for a good long while, and I've been pre-occuiped with other RC models, but now I'm getting back to my roots again! I've been working on a dedicated crawler and it's coming along nicely. Thought I'd post a few pictures just to tease e...

Re: Clod Mud-Slinger Test

Dustin, I'm just trying to get some projects done, because I always have three or four going on at one time. My Wedico is making slow progress. Really slow, but I still am getting some stuff done. Made up some fenders for the rear axles. They turned out awesome. I was hung up on how to make them for...
