right Halgar - I do the same thing - pair of needle-nose vice grips tight enough just to hang on to the plug while I fuss around soldering.

little trick to the deans - plug the male and female together BEFORE you start to solder up your connections. The deans conduct electricity (and heat!) very well, and what will end up happening is the connectors will shift in the plug a bit - and then you'll have a hard time plugging them in. If you...

Make sure you've done all the system updates - we've never had a problem with ours.

What games are you playing anyway?

My son and I rented R2 and Far Cry 2 this past weekend to make sure it's what we're putting on our games list for Santa. R2 rocks!

Those were great! Seems to me the pair I had were made of some type of glass or something? It wasn't rubber as I remember them and they made a very distinct knocking sound. Pretty cool toy actually, except when the line broke and glass balls went flying through the room!
